Terms of service
In effect since 3 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use TrustyAccess. They're written to be read. If anything is unclear, write to us and we'll explain.
Who we are
TrustyAccess is the trading name of SIMONIAN, a sole proprietorship registered in Lebanon and owned by Simon Simonian. "We", "us" and "our" mean SIMONIAN.
"You" means the company that holds a TrustyAccess account and every person who uses it under that company.
The service
TrustyAccess is remote access software: a web dashboard and a desktop app that let your people connect to your company's own computers and servers from elsewhere, with a login for each person, access rules and a record of every connection.
Your company gets an account. Its managers add people and computers, set who may reach what and when, and read the logs. The desktop app is installed on your company's computers and on the computers your people connect from.
Your account
- Give us accurate details about your company and keep them up to date.
- Keep your passwords to yourself. Everything done under your logins counts as done by you.
- Tell us at once if you think a login or a computer's password has leaked.
- One account per company. A manager of your company may add as many people as the plan allows.
- You must be at least 18 to open an account.
Acceptable use
Use the service only on computers your company owns or is authorized to access, and only in ways that are lawful where you are. In particular, you agree not to:
- connect to a computer without the authority to do so;
- use the service to attack, probe or overload any system, ours included;
- share your account with another company, or resell the service, without our written agreement;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer the service beyond what the law allows.
The full rules are in our acceptable use policy, which is part of these terms. An account used against them may be suspended or closed, as the section on suspending and closing accounts says.
Plans, trial and payment
The service is sold in plans. Each plan sets the limits you get, such as the number of computers and people, and is shown with its price on our pricing page. Where a free trial is offered, it lasts the number of days the pricing page says and ends automatically; nothing is charged for it.
Prices are in USD. The price you see is the price you pay: nothing is added on top at checkout. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel it.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle.com provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
You may cancel at any time from your account; the service runs until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow our refund policy: a full refund within 14 days of a payment, no questions asked.
When a license ends
When a license runs out and isn't renewed, connections stop and the client refuses new logins. Your computers, people and logs are kept for two years, so a renewal brings everything back. After that they're deleted, and your managers are told a week before.
If you close your account, or ask us to, we delete the company's data sooner. Ask us at the address below.
Suspending and closing accounts
You may close your account at any time, from your account or by writing to us. The service runs until the end of the period you've paid for.
We may suspend or close an account at once, without notice and without refund, if we have reasonable grounds to believe that it is used to scam or defraud people, to reach computers without the authority to do so, to attack or harm other systems or people, to break the law, or to break these terms in a serious way. We may report such use to the authorities and keep the records of it.
For a lesser breach we tell you first and give you 14 days to correct it; if it isn't corrected by then, we may close the account.
If we ever stop offering the service, we tell the managers of your company at least 30 days ahead and refund what you paid for the time after the end.
Your data
Your data is yours. We process it only to run the service, as our privacy policy describes. Saved computer passwords are kept sealed and are never shown to us or to anyone who doesn't hold your company's key. Logs are kept for the number of days your managers set, within the maximum of your plan.
Leaving with your data
You can leave at any time and take your data with you. Export your logs from your account, or ask us and we'll send you everything we hold for your company in a common format.
Tell us when you want to leave; we never ask for more than two months' notice. If you need time to move, we keep the service running for up to 30 days after you leave, and once more if you ask. After that your data stays available to you for at least 30 days, then it's erased, unless you ask us to erase it sooner.
There's no fee for leaving. Where your data is hosted, and how we answer requests for it from outside the EU, is on our Trust page.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running around the clock, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may take it offline briefly for updates, and we'll keep such windows short.
We improve the service over time and may change or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we'll tell the managers of your company by email ahead of it, at least 30 days where that's practical.
Your responsibility
The service connects your people to your computers. What they do there is yours:
- You're responsible for every action taken through the service on the computers you connect to, and for having the authority to access each of them.
- You're responsible for the people you give logins to, for what they do with them, and for keeping your passwords and your computers' passwords safe.
- You keep your own backups of your company's computers and of their data. The service moves screens, keyboards and files; it is not a backup.
- If someone makes a claim against us because of how you or your people used the service, you cover our costs and losses from it, including reasonable legal fees.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is and as available. We don't promise that it fits a particular purpose, that it runs without interruption or error, that it will never fail, or that a remote computer will behave as you expect. Any warranty the law would imply is excluded as far as the law allows.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any damage that comes from using the service or from being unable to use it, whatever its kind and however it arises: lost data, lost profits or revenue, downtime, the cost of substitute services, or damage to the computers you connect to and to what is on them.
If we're found liable to you in spite of this, our entire liability for everything together, whatever the ground of the claim, is limited to refunding what you paid us for the billing period in which the problem happened. That refund is your sole remedy.
Nothing here limits a liability that the law doesn't let us limit, such as liability for fraud.
Disputes
If something goes wrong between us, we settle it amicably first. Write to contact [at] trustyaccess.com and say what the problem is; we'll answer and talk it through in good faith within 30 days of your message.
If we haven't settled it within 60 days of that message, either of us may take it to court. These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Lebanon alone have jurisdiction over any dispute between us, which you accept by using the service.
Other terms
- Neither of us is responsible for a failure caused by something outside our reasonable control, such as a power or network failure, a natural event, war or an act of a government.
- If a court finds one of these terms unenforceable, the rest stay in force and that term is read as narrowly as needed to make it enforceable.
- These terms, with the privacy, refund and acceptable use policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
- You may not hand your account or these terms to someone else without our written agreement. We may hand them to a successor of our business, and we'll tell you if we do.
- If we don't enforce a term at some point, we can still enforce it later.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we post the new version here with the date it takes effect, and for a material change we email the managers of your company before it does. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
